Huria Collections sells makeup, skincare and shoes to women across Pakistan. Card penetration there is low and trust is earned at the doorstep, so the entire commerce model runs on cash on delivery — which shifts the hard problem from payments to operations. The storefront was the easy half; the half that decides whether the business works is the back office that gets orders out the door.

01 — The brief

The challenge

Selling cosmetics and footwear online in Pakistan means building for cash on delivery, where every order is a commitment of stock and courier cost before a rupee arrives. The team needed a storefront that could merchandise two very different categories with promotions like Buy 2 Get 1 Free, and behind it an operations tool where staff could manage orders by status and date, handle customer enquiries, and pull reports without a developer.

02 — What we built

The solution

We built a React storefront on Vite with separate cosmetics and shoes categories, search and filtering, a sale section, cart and a cash-on-delivery checkout, with WhatsApp as a direct line for customers who prefer to ask before buying. Behind it sits an admin back office — product create, edit and delete, order management with status changes and date filtering, a contact-submission inbox, and reporting that exports to PDF for offline use. A Laravel API backs both.

03 — Method

How we got there

  1. 01Built separate cosmetics and footwear catalogues with search, filtering and sale sections
  2. 02Implemented a cash-on-delivery checkout suited to the Pakistani market
  3. 03Supported promotional mechanics — Buy 2 Get 1 Free, free delivery items and discounting
  4. 04Built an admin back office for product CRUD and order management by status and date
  5. 05Added PDF export via jsPDF so staff can work orders and reports offline
  6. 06Wired a contact-submission inbox and WhatsApp line for pre-purchase questions
  7. 07Connected the storefront to a Laravel API over Axios, deployed on Vercel

04 — Proof

What changed

  • Two product categories merchandised independently in one storefront
  • Cash-on-delivery checkout matched to how Pakistani customers actually buy
  • Admin back office letting staff run orders and products without developer help
  • PDF export for orders and reports, usable away from a desk
